Hey all my name is Hump and I just got an 2009 Tundra DC 4x2 V6 and could use some advice on any aftermarket accessories that can increase fuel mileage and power such as air cleaners and exhaust. Will changing out my factory exhaust help or hurt that type of thing? Thanks in advance for the help and advice!!!

Our family is Tundra crazy. We have 3. I (Dad) bought a new one in December, the Crewmax LTD 4x4 with the "works". I still have my old one, a 2000 Tundra 4.7L V8 - anyone iterested? See the specs on my website www.zautosport.com . Now here is a question for all of you; I cannot connect the factory supplied harness for the trailer controller. Her connector does not mate. It is different enaugh not to work. Did Toyota make a mistake installing the wrong connector? The one for my son and my own fit nicely.

2007 Tundra Double Cab Long Bed. 4x2 with a 5.7L V8. Truck is mainly for hauling and camping so didn't get the 4x4 which would have been nice. Only upgrades on the truck are a back up camera (which I hardly use because of the Sonar) and the step sides. Both installed by myself. Love this truck. Planning on getting a Tacoma 4x4 for off road use.

New member, stumbled accross this forum and found a lot of interesting information. Just purchased a Toyota Certified 2006 double cab 4x4 with 31,500 miles on it a few weeks ago. it is dark grey and has the TRO Off Road package. I LOVE IT. Working on upgrading the sound system, but besides that leaving it stock. Look forward to sharing and reading good information on the forum.

Hi, i'm new here. I don't see anywhere that explains how to become a member of the forum except to intro. Myself here. Call me don. I have an 07 tundra extra-cam, 5.7 liter, 4x4. My questions mainly surround towing with my 29' travel trailer. My question today: Has anyone have an opinion about tire pressures while towing for either the truck or the camper. Would you recommend to more or less pressure in any of the tires or to go by "trial and error" basis. I'm looking for a better ride with less bounce in the cab. Do any of you have any other solutions to a control a bouncing cab on bad bumps beside traveling a low speed. On poor roads, i deliberately take it slower of course. I don't want to alter my ride with i'm not towing which would be 95% of the time. Thanks for any input.

from experience, i would not waste time and money. I did not notice any significant difference in mileage or power. Only thing i noticed that at highway speeds the roar of the engine is so loud you can't hear your stereo or have a conversation without raising your voice above the noise. I went back to the original equipment.

Good Morning All,
New kid (Old Man) on the block. I pulled the tigger on an 08 SR5 5.7 TRD Offroad DC left over on Saturday. Traded in an 07 4Runner Sport which was not easy. I went to the Tundra for the extra room. I do a lot of serf fishing with my buddies in the summer, and the 4Runner was just to small to carry 4 guys plus their gear. Can't wait to put her on the sand.
This is a really great forum with a lot of usefull info. I'm sure I'll be bugging you with all kinds of questions. Now let's see, Bed liner, Dual exhaust, step rails ......... Let the mods begin.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Tundra Owners Introduce Yourself He
Hello,
Just joined this forum - I think it was this week. Purchased a 08 Crewmax Limited 4x4 on Saturday and am getting used to it.
I have a question/comment about the gas pedal. It seems it is sort of soft - I don't suppose anyone knows if there is a way to make it a bit firmer? This is my first Toyota, and I'm not quite sure if all of the newer cars and trucks are going the way of the electronic gas pedal, but I seem to be not in touch with the truck this way. Guess I am just old school.

New member here and proud owner of a new 2008 Tundra CrewMax Limited 5.7L 4x2 in Blue Streak Metallic. Can't get enough of this truck and I know I'll get plenty of ideas for my new tundra on here. Thanks guys (and gals)!
Just wanted to say hi. I am a truck fan and have lurked the forum but just decided to join. I have owned a few toyota vehicles in the past. A 1995 1/5 Tacoma, which I had 10 years. The only problem I had a blown head gasket which was replaced under a recall. I loved that little truck.
I also owned a 06 Lexus IS 350, which I recently traded in. One bad little car, I also loved.
I recently bought a 09 F150 Lariat. I plan on posting, but will not talk down your truck. Like I said I am a truck fan and also a Toyota fan, the F 150 just suited me better. If not the Ford I would have a Tundra, it was a tough decision.
If you have any questions about your competition, please ask.
