Default switched power in upper console

Hello all, just got my new Toy.....ota its a 2007 Tundra SR5 DC 5.7 4X4.
I love the truck and found this site because I also like to mod stuff. I recently installed my GPS system and now I'm working on my radar detector (not that I speed or anything

I want to install my detector up near the upper console but I need switched 12v power. I don't have the auto dimming mirror but I'm hoping I can find a harness with switched power somewhere in the upper console. I thought about just taking it apart and probing the wiring to see If I could find it but the thought of accidentally setting off one of the air bags has me concerned. Any help would be great.

Thanks

You need a test light my friend. Use the radio as your source for switched power. I do not advise using that wire strictly for 12V power though. Use a relay if possible.

If you don't want to use the radio, the cigarette lighter sockets are all switched power.

Thanks for your response. I know the cig lighter is switched power but I didnt want to run a wire through the truck if there was already switched power available in the upper console.
