Re: Little things you've discovered about your Tundra...
Yeah Roxy, that one ranks right up there with forgetting where you parked at the mall.

I discovered the center "seat" in my Tundra grade CM lifts up and a 1 liter bottle of Crown Royal fits in there nicely. It comes in handy when crossing the border and not wanting to claim it.

WTF...I just went and looked and mine doesn't have a bottle of Crown in it. Did you have to special order it or was that a DIY mod?

We have several vehicles in the household and I don't drive my truck every day. If I did, those switches would all fall easily to hand from memory, but they don't. So having them lit would be helpful. And even though I can generally find the lock/unlock, I can never remember if concave or convex is lock or unlock, and so I end up sitting there fumbling for a bit while there's someone staring at me through the passenger window wondering why I won't let them in.
Not critical, but it would be nice if they were. They ARE lit on the other cars.
My point exactly...since everyone in 2009 still smokes...particularly riding around in a $50k truck, smoking with the windows up, so it is necessary to have an LED lighting up the ash tank (not ash tray...that's an ash tank).
I know it is designed to be a work truck, but this my friends is taking it too far. I'd rather have these other areas illuminated than my ash tank which by the way has been removed to provide another cup holder.
Matt

I think the amber LED over the ashtray (coin storage in my case) and the similar one behind the rearview were meant to provide blanket, low-level lighting for the console. Cover them up and you'll see what I mean... they actually help a LOT.

I drive my Tundra twice a month...
Maybe I should teach Memory Retention classes?
And if I drop a bunch of toothpicks on the floor, I bet you can instantly tell me how many there are.
Ten minutes to Wapner.

I been looking around every Toyota forum and I did not find any mention of what I had discovered before Christmas.
Did you know if you have a cell phone that is an MP3 player that has a aux jack/headphone that if you plug it in to he AUX jack while you listen to music, you can take a incoming call and it essentially it is exactly like the bluetooth in the Limited Trucks?
Well it is. I was driving to the mall to pickup a gift listening to Into the Night, by Santana & Hinder? on my cell/mp3 player (8gb micro sd in it) and my phone rang in the cab (truck spkrs) I just hit talk and my wife was on my truck speakers and I just spoke to her. I asked her if she noticed anything was diffferent in my voice, she said no, she did not hear a echo of her voice either. We got done talking I ended the call and the music continued.
If this is new to you, try it, it was a pleasent surprise, I did not see this mentioned anywhere in any manual.
