I been looking around every Toyota forum and I did not find any mention of what I had discovered before Christmas.
Did you know if you have a cell phone that is an MP3 player that has a aux jack/headphone that if you plug it in to he AUX jack while you listen to music, you can take a incoming call and it essentially it is exactly like the bluetooth in the Limited Trucks?
Well it is. I was driving to the mall to pickup a gift listening to Into the Night, by Santana & Hinder? on my cell/mp3 player (8gb micro sd in it) and my phone rang in the cab (truck spkrs) I just hit talk and my wife was on my truck speakers and I just spoke to her. I asked her if she noticed anything was diffferent in my voice, she said no, she did not hear a echo of her voice either. We got done talking I ended the call and the music continued.
If this is new to you, try it, it was a pleasent surprise, I did not see this mentioned anywhere in any manual.
btw I have a Motorola VE 20.
Hmmm, I guess I figured this was just a common sense thing? I do it with my iPhone all the time. I use it as my iPod, or play internet radio (Pandora application) and pump it through that jack. If the phone rings, I push "answer" and it becomes a sort of hands free type of device. I thought most people already knew about this?
It's using the mic on the phone instead of the ceiling mic which the bluetooth uses. I've got a Blackberry which bluetooths to the truck, and I've tried both using AUX and with the bluetooth, the sound was better with this phone combo on bluetooth. YMMV.

Makes a lot of sense once you think about it!! Great tip!!!
Rockstate, it will depend on whether plugging in the AUX cable turns off your phone's speaker. If it does then you won't hear the ring unless you are listening to the AUX jack.

I don't know why but i really like this one. On my 07 CM Limited at night when you turn your head lights on, two small orange ambient lights turn on to help you navigate buttons on dash and see things in cup holder area.
Just got my Tundra 2 days ago
I was hoping so... Saw it and thought "Warning" light but then thought WTH would it be warning me about in the cup holder area.
I found that out right after I got is as I pulled out in front of someone a little to later and shabammmmm that baby was off!
yes, speaking of that. I remember when I first test drove the truck. I barely touched the gas to pull out from our parking spot on the side of the street (the dealer had to drive it off the lot, then I took over). anyhow, I squealed the tires. The wife thought I was trying macho crap. Not remotely, I barely even touched the gas and it jumped away from us.
needless to say, I was pretty pleased to see that kind of HP leap. It was my first non diesel in a years, and I was happy to be done with turbo lag (I am looking in your direction, Ford).

I did not see this in the posts listed here but I was pretty impressed when I accidentally found the button that caused my outside mirrors to fold back flush against the doors.
I found out that the sun visors extend too. You know that annoying couple of inches that is never covered when you have the sun visor rotated around to the side window? Well, these puppies slide on the rod so you can fill that void. SWEET
Sweeeet! Thanks for pointing this out! I was mad that my Tacoma had a sliding feature and the Tundra didn't. I'm a tall guy so I sit pretty far back and I was always getting blasted by the sun.

I've had mine three weeks, and I still keep doing that... Trying to get used to not having the stiff/sticky pedal that the last three Chevy's I drove for work always had. That, and it's way too fun being able to push her into the floor at 20 and still get a squeal. At 32, I still feel like a kid sometimes.
Thanks to this thread, I was able to figure out my console lid slides forward (with stops every 1" or so) up to like 4" forward. Just the right distance for my arm to be supported while resting my hand on the shifter (I have the TRD T-style knob). Just too bad that you can't open the console with the lid slid forward. I think everything else I learned when I read the manual (yeah, I actually did read the manual)...Oh, and I also didn't think to try the TELESCOPING feature on the steering wheel until I read this thread...I just assumed my truck didn't have it (since the manual shows three different styles of wheel adjustments available).

Ok so I was off roading (and yes I turned off my airbags), had it in 4 hi on a pretty steep incline. I took my foot off the brake to coast backwards a few feet and the truck got pi$$ed at me, it beeped then shut off and im pretty sure applied the brakes itself, I tried to restart it right away but forgot It was in drive, upon shifting to drive it started itself then all was well. I will try to get it to do it again and pay more attention to it, however I was in the middle of nowhere on my way home from work and wanted to get snotty in a mud hole
Not sure if it's mentioned.... But mine seems to have an"idle up" characteristic, when I sit in the driver's seat...
I always give my truck a good warm up from cold.... and I've noticed, that when I finally go to sit in the seat and put weight in it, the exhaust note/running characteristics change....
I also noticed that regardless if I have the AC compressor turned on or not... the AC compressor runs for the first couple minutes of a cold crank...
