I'll Have to see if my XD 45 5" will fit! I can't get a Mustang to race me! I do know a Mercedes E350 will stay neck and neck with a late model Camaro SS... still couldn't pass me!
I believe at 4500 miles after resetting last the service engine soon light flashes about 5-8 times after start up, then goes off and that is suppose to remind us to change oil before 5K. Once 5K hits, the service engine soon light stays on all the time while driving. It is dead on assuming you reset the counter right after the oil change. You can find out how to reset the oil change indicator in your owner's manual - easy to do. But, after my first free oil change at the toyota dealership when the 07's just came out, the dealer did not reset the oil change indicator and after a few weeks of driving, the service engine soon light came on and I drove it back to the dealer and did a little butt chewing for wasting my time. Fricking idiots!
As far as learning new things, call me an idiot, but ONLY after 2 years of driving thru winter, did I realize I could hold the trac off button in for a few seconds and disable the engine from spinning my wheels all the time during winter. It really pissed me off for the last 2 years when pulling from a stop sign under normal easy stepping on the accelerator and the fricking truck would lose power and not go anywhere from a slippery, snowy stop sign. The cutting of power to the rear wheels with traction control on the tundra comes on way too early and pisses me off. Now, the button in the winter is lit so I can spin the rear wheels and actually move out into traffic safely and with more speed - dang nannies.
Almost forgot, I read on one of these forums that you can put an awl or small tipped screwdriver into a small hole in the seat belt clip area and pull up and remove a spring on the inside to disable that annoying chime that is loud for about 20 seconds or so if you don't buckle up the seat belt. I'm going to do this on both sides because I hate that long and loud ding even though the dealer's don't want us to mess with it. I just hope it does not stop my air bags from deploying in case of an accident or something like that.
I think the tundra was designed specifically to race late model camaros and mustangs. The console light under the rear view mirror is actually a spot-light so that even at night, when you pass other drivers, they can see your fuzzy dice....

Okay, I didn't go through ALL the old posts so if it's already been mentioned you can beat me
I'm ashamed to admit that I had a brain fart one morning at 5am, and noticed something that I'm hoping to never repeat, and don't want to attempt again for verification.
If you leave the parking brake on and drive off, the truck will beep at you over a certain speed... sorta like the seatbelt chime, but lower pitch, slower and not as nagging...
My first thought was "WTF?" then "OOOOPS and i popped the brake out and it was quiet". Then I apologized to my poor truck during the whole drive to work.
Well it doesnt just happen to old folks that are cranially flatulant! my brother drove my truck and he has an incline in his driveway and puts his pathfinders parking brake on every time. So I get in my truck and drive off after he parked it earlier and found out the same thing you did.
Just replaced front windshield - discovered that most (all CMs?) have a "heated" front windshield. The bottom portion of the windshield is heated to keep wipers from freezing to windshield. When you have to replace your windshield (and you will) remember to double check before you have the replacement company order for your unit.
I drive a ford as a work truck. After the weekend, I forget when I try to use the tailgate and just let go.....Slam! It sounds like it is going to break. Love that tundra gate.
LOL, I did this on my 06 Tundra DC last weekend. The tailgate just about took me out because I forgot to lower it slowly...

On navigation systems you can change the direction that the arrow points via voice commands. In other words by default your arrow points in the direction you are traveling down if you are going south, left if you are going east etc... I prefer the arrow always pointing UP. You can change this by using voice commands. I could not find another way to change this...
Now if I could only find a way to tell me each tire's pressure (I don't think you can) and how I can lock the doors with the remote while one is open!
Neil
Just press the icon in the upper left hand screen of our nav and and it will shift from always pointing Northward to your direction of travel. I prefer it to show direction of travel only.
