I learned that when you fully disable traction control, you can launch hard laying down 3 feet of burn, gently stop the truck with the brake while holding 5k with the throttle, let up on brake pressure to allow a slow forward crawl as the back tires continue to scream, hold revs @ 5k while the AT shifts from 1st to 2nd to third, all the while feathering the throttle to hold 5k to keep it off the limiter, watching as the entire world disappears, realizing you left the A/C on as the smoke starts to choke the cabin, letting go of the brake now as the truck crabs off the crown of the road, fully in the throttle now & bouncing off the limiter, steering hard into the skid now at full opposite lock, looking or cops, heading for the tire store for the new 305/65/18 AT KO's. Making one return trip after the smoke clears to see if the street is on fire. Really cool feature.
Funny you should mention my Pet Peeve. I was really sweating it when I started my truck the first time with my new tires.....breathed a sigh of relief when the stupid TPMS light went out.

When you're done with your truck, do you want to sell it to me?

My stock BFG's have 30k of hard driving, and the 33's & readylift go on this Wednesday. No way the new shoes will get this treatment; The tire destruction is the proper send-off for the stockers, assuming I don't get arrested.
I don't have one with the JBL, i have the 6-disc changer version.
I know that the 6-disc changer also has the volume based on speed function.
It's called ASL (i think) on the menu.
I love the auto lights off feature. I leave mine on all the time.
My wife's car has that and mine didn't, till now!
This brings up a question i've been wondering, does any one know how to turn on the fog lights only without needing the low-beam lights?
I haven't read all the manual yet, but one day we're all going to want to know how to reset that pesky tire sensor thing.
Also, does anyone know if we get a light at 5000 miles reminding us to change the oil? We'll want to know how to reset that too!
the tire sensor reset button is underneath the steering wheel on the right. the symbol on it looks just like the light that comes on in the dash when the tire pressure gets low. and the oil change light well, is really a yellow maintenance light that comes on. that gets reset by doing something with the odometer knob. i cant remember at the moment but the guys at the dealer's service dept. can show you. as for your fog light question, ive heard that it can be done however i dont have those details.

You can find instructions on not only the tire reset button, but also how to clear the maintainence light in the owners manual.
It amazes me how many people do not look at theirs. You just bought a great truck, wouldnt you want to know everything about it?
And then trying to find info in the "war and peac" manual.
I disconnected the battery to install the brake controller and backup camera, when resetting the radio I notice the ASL is not there, I set it when I got the truck so wanted it setup again...where the heck did it go!?
until i read on here... i had no idea i 'really' had an activated alarm system! - the stickers are on the windows, but i thought that those were on 'all' the tundras as a deterrant... i tested my alarm by rolling down a window, closing and locking the doors, waiting a moment, then reaching in and opening a door from the inside... even though i was ready for it... the blaring horn scared the bejesus outta me!
i have no idea if my JBL stereo has auto volume with speed... the engine noise heard from inside the cab is the same, soothing, quiet sound at 30 as it is at 90.... OR, is it that the radio is turned up so loud i can't hear the motor??!!??

I constantly do this.... you can let the tailgate down without the alarm going off.... But close it, and the alarm wil go off...
I do this nearly daily, from just hanging out, sitting on the tailgate, and BS'in . I almost never remember to disable the alarm before closing the tailgate...
For those of you that have the factory nav.. you know that there are lots and lots of voice command that are not even listed in the nav manual. A few that discovered on my own was
1) "Destination 1, 2, 3"..... and so on... If you programmed the a destination on your favorites, you can summon in by calling the destination number after the beep.
2) My favorite is "convenience store", and the 7-11 icons will pop up.
I will list more of these so called find it on your own as I discover them.
