Surprisingly, neither was I a fan of lowered trucks. I have owned about 5 different trucks and all of them I've raised. This is the first lowered for me. It was only because of the stock ride that I lowered it and Tundra Racings lowering kit so improved the ride and handling that I would do it again without a second thought.
I totally agree, i've lifted all the trucks i've own, but lift kits and big tires makes a clumsy truck, i decided to lower this one because it drive & handle so good on stock height, lowering it would make it even better, i have the TR kit also, just waiting for snow to clear. When i want to drive a lifted truck, i take this out.
Finally created my photo album showing 2.5 inch lift, 4 inch lift, CV angles, and stock TRD Bilstein that broke after 30K miles. Fortunately I have a really good mechanic.
__________________ 07 DC SR5 TRD 4x4 5.7 TRD exhaust, 46K miles, 17 mpg city after battery disconnect reset. Truxedo Lo-Pro with deck rails. Front Susp: Stock coilovers, 4" lift (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...6-4-inch-lift/), swapped extra spacers for Bilstein 5100s on lowest setting, wheel well height still 41.5." Rear Susp: ProComp ES3000 #326510 (2.25" taller than stock), 1.25" blocks plus PRG mini-pack (http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...and-new-truck/) gives 2.25" total lift, parking brake cable bracket spacers, wheel well height 43." Front diff and rear ds drop; trailer hitch electrical harness tucked up above bumper. After 20K miles swapped 305/65/18 BFG AT for 285/75/18 Toyo AT, still on stock 18x8x60 offset TRD wheels, about 1/8" clearance to sway bar. Like the extra height but miss the width. Next time either 305/70/, 295/70, or 35x12.50/18. Added 5th 285/75/18 Toyo AT as spare. Bed Bounce: Stiffer E-tires are worse than stock P-metric; biggest improvement from PRG mini-pack, slight improvement from shocks. Still a stiff ride but tolerable now. Best things about this truck: 5.7 and transmission, interior size and comfort, very quiet at high speed. Worst things about this truck: bed bounce, no VSC in 4wd, mileage sucks above 70.

My new Weather Guard Tool box. It came in black but the paint is thin like the tundra so I got it Line-X with Extra. Also pulled the draw out and painted in inside of the box b/c it came unpainted on the inside. (Very dissapointing)
This is my work truck so I pulled the back seats to put stuff in. Notice the black carpet in the back. I purchase the carpet from walmart it was under 10 bucks for a roll of 4x6 i think. Its made of recycle stuff but look and feels just like the gray carpet in the front. All I did was roll it out and use a razor blade to cut the curves and pull the side and tuck them under to look factory.
Weather tech front visor
15% tint
Gtek door stills,
3M Clear bra put on. Was hand cut by the installer.
Also the black tool box weights 322 pounds EMPTY. So with my Both tool box loaded up. I have to bed bound. lol. Also funny is I still get 15mpg.
Heres my 07 tundra I have yet to do much to it other than Tint it and add a couple minor things. These are before pictures hopefully ill get more on it later this year Go Gators!!

I'd have more mods on my truck if that was my mechanic also .

Just turned in my '04 Double-Cab and brought home this baby... 2008 Tundra CrewMax SR5. Already added a TruXedo Deuce tonneau cover and more mods on the way. I really loved my 04 Tundra and this is so much more...
