Installed a ReadyLift leveling kit on my DC yesterday, end result is exactly what I was looking for. Bought the kit from RealTruck for $229.95 minus 7% by using the TundraSolutions promo code TOY, part #66-5075. Took a week to get here, just one small box holding the two strut extensions. Very well made, heavy duty steel and power coated finish.
Install was straight forward, no issues to speak of. Took my brother and I about two hours, however if you plan on installing this yourself, I have several suggestions. First, it is a two person job, trying to do this by yourself would be difficult (but doable). Make sure you have all the tools you will need, there are some required that may not be in the average tool box. Some of those bolts required a very large breaker bar, a standard two footed did not get the job done. Jack stands and a second jack are needed if you do both sides at the same time. Wheel alignment is an must as soon as you are done, the computer readout of my truck before the alignment showed it WAY off. I had the alignment done at a shop that does dozens of lifts a month, so they know what they are doing. Don't expect the alignment to be perfect after the kit, the cams just don't allow for perfect alignment, however everything is in the green.
Okay, results: Ground to center of front wheel well before kit was 35.5" and after was 38.5" after driving it which settles everything in. ReadyLift calls the kit a 2.25" lift, I got 3", going to call them Monday to discuss. Actually the 3" levels the truck exactly, so I am happy with it, just wonder why I got 3" (and yes, I am sure it was installed correctly, pretty hard to screw it up). No change in ride noticed, I did sense the truck riding level, always felt like I was going downhill before.
Thanks for posting... my ready lift goes in Tuesday of this week it looks as though your front end is up in the air a little bit? Also do the spacers only go in one way I noticed that the bolt holes and studs are not drilled exactly at each corner of the spacer, two of them look off center? On the Ready Lift web site thay say they are my spacers say they are 2.4 inche spacers.Wondering why you say it is a two person job I was gonna attempt it by myself..
Thanks for taking the time to post that. I have the same DC and color and am really looking forward to doing the same kit. If you get a chance could you possibly post a picture of the entire truck before and after? Or maybe just a full pic after?

They only go on one way, the strut is marked as 'out' and the spacer is marked with a line to match. Web site says they are 2.4", order invoice says it is a 2.25" kit and the actual measurement of the spacer is 1.75". I can understand how a 1.75" spacer makes a 2.25" lift given the change in the spring rate and all, not sure how I got 3". Maybe I should double check the before measurement at the dealer on another truck.
As for the two person suggestion, it's your call, I am just glad I had my brother to help. It probably saved an hour of work and a lot of frustration. There are times when you need to be under the truck and also have the spindle moved out of the way at the same time.

Thanks again
Here are some pics of the entire truck and the spacer on the strut.

Looked at everything out there, went with the ReadyLift because of it's steel construction and others recommending it. Did not even consider urathane units.

Thanks for the extra info..just so you know I ordered mine direct from ready lift and on my invoice it says nothing about the height of lift...I have the same color truck DC only with TRD.Your truck looks great especially with the ready lift installed, I cant wait...

This was bugging me, so I took a drive down to the local dealership to check it out on some stock trucks. I had misplaced my original measurement I wrote down and had guessed wrong of course, actual wheel well to ground measurement is 36.25" stock (not 35.25") and now that my suspension has settled in nicely, it is 38.5" with the kit. So it does provide a 2.25" lift in the front and it does make the truck appear level when looking at it from the side. I am very happy with the kit, recommend it to anyone wanting just a leveling kit.
Also you will loose some lift after you align the truck. I lost about a half inch.
Yes, I agree. I measured the truck just before the alignment and just after, lost just over 1/4". So I lost a total of 3/4" from the time I first dropped the truck off of the jack stands till now.
Wondering where you got the torque specs for retightening the bolts? And did you use any loctite?
Did not use loctite as Toyota didn't when they built it. I really don't think it is necessary, however it sure would not hurt anything, so if you usually do use it, go ahead. Use seat-of-the-pants torque values
