I went with the Truxxx lift. The installation went very well no problems. Click on the link to see pics of my truck.

Are people with lifted trucks loosing gas mileage?
Will use of these lift kits void any of the factory warranty?
Do you have to use the 3" / 1" lift kit to use 305/55-20 tires?

Go direct for either, the Truxxx guys are a great group and I've heard good things about Toytec as well.

I went with the Truxxx cause I didn't want to lose travel.

No, they don't. It was almost a deal breaker for me, but I decided to get airbags or supersprings later.
I haul and tow alot, but also like the factory ride when I'm not.

Have any of you actually installed these kits yourself? Specifically the ones that have the entire spacer above the coil/shock assembly. Just curious how long you fought with it?

35 x 13.50 x 20R here...

I am about to install my Truxxx, I hope to get to it this sat., but it is kind of looking like I won't get to it until the weekend of Sept. 8th.

Have to get our TT finished up, and head out RVing on Labor Day weekend.

I've had the darn lift for a couple months now, and can't get the time to install it.

Indeed. 275 to a 305 cost me almost 3 mpg on the highway (18.2 to 15.6)

Here is a before and after of a Toytec 3" leveling kit:

I find the kit gives it a more aggressive looking, "bulldog" stance

If it's the style that has most of the spacer above the coil/shock assembly. We're finding it easier to pop the upper boll joint loose and seperate the UCA from the spindle. Then have a friend with a pry bar force the LCA down to get the spacer and shock into place. Then pry the crap out of the UCA to get it back into the spindle and the ball joint nut started.

We only put a 3/4" spacer up there and that's a struggle to get installed on it's own. These guys that are putting 100% of the spacer up there, I'm not really sure how they're getting the shock/spacer installed honestly. Maybe it's plain as day and we're just missing it but it looks like a major PITA to do.

Also, these 3" front spacer kits without a diff drop, I'm really curious to see over time what the CV's do and how they hold up...

Here a link to the Truxxx again. http://www.truxxx.com/toyota_product...a-lift-kit.htm

You will find install instructions there that may help you understand.

Also lists what comes with the kit...diff drop, bump stop drops and so on...

Default Re: List of Spacer Lifts for the 2007 Tundra

we're doing a 1.5" block in the rear on our kit and under heavy braking without doing anything to the rear shocks the rear end of the truck wanted to come around on us. Our truck only had about 2.5" of droop from ride height stock so taking up another 1.5" of that with our block didn't leave us with much droop. Under heavy braking the nose would dive and the rear would lift and lighten up the rear tires causing the sketchy handling under heavy braking. We addressed this with a simple rear shock bracket. So anyways, I can't speak for others kits and I'm not saying ours is better by anymeans. I'm just saying this is something to maybe be aware of if you're doing a rear block and not addressing the shock in any way. Just something to look out for. The simple bracket we did completely cured this affect during braking.

And yeah, we thought about dropping the LCA to install but seems like lining up those bolt holes while compressing the shock would be a pain... maybe it's not, we didn't try that, we just popped the top off like i said. 2 ways to skin a cat. LOL
