Anybody use one for a tow car?

We currently have a Saturn Vue we use for a tow car and were thinking about switching to the Toyota Venza. Can't stand the Vue it's the worst car we've ever owned. Will be towing on a dolly. Anybody have any pointers on this before we get into it?

Also just an off topic question. We tow with a diesel pusher RV. Anybody who does have a tow car have problems with the car filling up with soot on a long trip? What did you do to prevent it? Our saturn had soot on everything after we were towing it for about 8500 miles last summer.
