No worries! I started on tirerack.com, but they only have certain brands. Then I checked out AmericasTireCo.com and looked at their tires with ratings and reviews. I stopped in at my local Les Schwab to see and touch the tires for real. Picked up more info from them and researched my options. I read a bunch of threads regarding tires and wheels, then Googled searched as well. Whew! You can easily get buried in information overload!
Finally I made a decision and pulled the trigger. I guess I'll see if I made a good choice or not. You can make it as easy or as hard as you want. Good luck with your search!

I love the ride! There is more road "feel" and the handling has gone up another couple of notches! The fun factor keeps going up with this car. Next the lowering springs. I'm planning on ordering a set of Tanabe DF210's. This should give me about a 2" drop and fill in the wheel wells quite nicely!

Nah, she's still the big dog in the garage. Plus she gets to do the 4x4 trips and the camping trips. The 'little' guy doesn't get to do that.

What are you going to do with your OEM wheels? Ever consider selling them?

ok Herb, I liked your tires so much, I am now looking at a set of General Altimax HP's in 235/60R16 for my RAV4. Tirerack has them for $91/ea +$46 shipping (for 4). These are a 55k warranty, H rated tire. Should be nice for the RAV in the rain.

Nice Yaris. Im kinda torn between trading my '99 F-150 in on a used Tacoma or keeping the F-150 and buying a Yaris.
With what I would save in fuel prices with the Yaris, it would pretty much pay for itself.
How big is the trunk on the Yaris? Would a golf bag fit in there or would you have to lay it on the back seat?

Show more picture with it Tanabe dropped!!! Love the wheels.
Thanks for the compliment! I'll definately post up new pics once it's dropped. The springs have been ordered from a place in So-Cal, however, I just saw they are shipping from Florida! Crud! I specifically wanted them to come from So-Cal so I would have them for this 3 day weekend to do the install. Well that isn't going to happen. They're supposed to arrive on Sept. 3rd. Oh well.

Thanks! I'm not a golfer, but my neighbor is. Perhaps I can have him toss his bag in the trunk and see what happens. Overall I'm quite pleased with the size of the trunk relative to the size of the car.

That would be cool if you could do that. My golf bag is about 45 1/2" long and I recall reading a while back on the Yaris' interior dimensions that its something like 48" wide, so they would probably fit.
If I do go the Yaris route, I just might opt for a hatchback so that Im certain I will have room.
Like I said, Im very much torn on what I should do. Id love another Toyota, but I could buy an '05-'08 F-150 for pretty cheap. A Ford dealer in the area has an '08 regular cab 4x2 XL (thats the base trim package) V6 5-speed manual with 8,000 miles on it and they want $12,500 for it. You couldnt even dream of getting a similar used Tundra for that much money.
I dunno, we'll see. I guess all I can really do is go test drive a Yaris, Tacoma and an '04-'08 F-150 and see which I like best.

A rule of thumb: If you can't describe your idea clearly and simply, you haven't thought it through.

Well I haven't seen my neighbor so I busted out the tape measure. Side to side nearest the rear bumper (this is the widest point) it's 54 inches. On a diagonal with the rear seats in the upright position it's also 54 inches. I think it's possible it would fit.

Thanks. Im glad that my clubs will fit in the trunk of a Yaris sedan, because for some reason I think the sedans look waaaaay better than the hatchbacks.
