Question Power heater in diesel engine??

Hi

I have the 1.4 diesel engine (90hp/190Nm) in my Yaris.
Between the seats is there a button to start the electric pwr. heater for the engine.
Does anybody know tech. stuff about the heater? Where does it sit... in the oil? How many watt? etc.

Did you buy that vehicle is the US????
I have no info on a diesel in a YARIS.
From what Info I have they dont have a diesel Yaris in the US.
OK, I found it. It is a EUROPIAN Model.
http://www.toyota-europe.com/cars/ne...aris/index.asp
You might e-mail someone on this site to get you specs and stuff.
Here in the US we do not have access to this from Toyota since it is not offred here.
Our parts imagers do not even show parts for the diesel version.

Hi
I live in Denmark and have a 1.4 l diesel new model (90hp/190Nm) with Eberspaecher Hydronic II-H D5Z-H Zusatsheater (german) controlled by a switch between the seats.
The heater is placed in the right side of the engine department (looking forward).
It heats the water and is a 5kw unit. It burns diesel fuel .25 l or .5 l pr. hour. The little diesel (0 to 100km/h in 10.7 sec.) is very efficient and in the winter, the heater (5kw) makes sure the cabin and engine is warm in very short time.

I am sorry, I wish I could help but TOYOTA does NOT give us any information on NON US Vehicles. There are no diesel YARIS sold in the US. The information is NOT in TIS (TOYOTA INFORMATION SYSTEM). I hope somone from another part of the country can assist you.
Good Luck
