2007 CD mode text display question

I have had my Yaris for about 3 months. The other day I noticed that the text display on my stereo has disappeared when I insert a music cd. All I get in the display is "CD". I cannot used the "Text" button to switch to a track number and time for the song. The weird thing is that if I listen to a MP3 cd, the text display works. It only is not there when a audio CD is in the player. Is there a way that I may have turned this feature off when the stereo is in CD mode? any help would be greatly appreciated.
