Made some nice upgrades to the "Butterscotch Stallion" today...

Finally pulled the trigger today and got some work done!!!

Bilstein 5100's front (top notch) and rear (just shocks).

New wheels - TRD Black 17x7

New Tires - BFG A/T KO2 in 275/70R/17

and alignment of course.

The ride is stiffer but smoother than stock. In my opinion these wheels look even more bad-ass in person (even the old lady said they look cool and she usually doesn't give a fig). The tires are QUIET, look awesome and look even better in person too.

Damn I love this truck.

How come you didn't opt for the 285?

Re: Made some nice upgrades to the "Butterscotch Stallion" today...

When I originally thought of lifting the truck I was thinking 35's. I ended up going with the 275 size tire because 285's would rub and in order to make them "fit" I would have to trim some plastic inside the wheel wells and I just wasn't too fond of that idea. I got these wheels from my buddy who had them on his 2015 4Runner. He bought them on Craigslist for $600 and sold em to me for $500. Not a bad deal. I love these wheels.

Re: Made some nice upgrades to the "Butterscotch Stallion" today...

Do the 275 tires end up being flush with the fender flares? I was checking the size difference between the 275 and 285 BFG's KO2 and the circumference stood out. There's a 1.73 inch difference between the tires but with a backspace of 4.16 inch on your TRD wheels, I didn't think the 285 would rub at full turn lock.
