Struts/shocks ?

I have a 2005 Tundra with 270000 miles
Will front Bilstein 4800 series (48510-AD061) off late model Tacoma work on 05 Tundra ?
Somewhere a while back I read where some switching was possible maybe on 5100 series
As for visual they look very similar, but Tundra still has shocks on truck on the truck
A friend has a nearly new set, front & rear off a 17 Tacoma 4x4 when he put a lift on
Thanks, David

SoCalPaul, Thanks for reply
Great pictures,
The Tacoma are just too long
It was a shot in the dark & I did not have my hands on them.
I finally got him to measure them & figured a no go
I see you have/had several Toyotas
I have owned 8 Tundras & never did my own shock/strut work till now (Retired)
Thanks again for reply

Re: Struts/shocks ?

The rears are fairly easy if you have a flex head ratcheting box wrench.

The fronts arenít too hard, compressing the spring is the hardest part. Iíve been happy with all the different Bilsteins Iíve had over the years.

I see you live outside of Asheville. Both my parents families have lived in the Hickory / Conover area for 250 - 300 years.
