Paid too much?

Had a local garage check brakes all around on my 2011 Toyota Tundra (Double Cab 4x4) the process they told me the rear wheel bearings were bad.
When I got the bill I was comfortable with the cost and labor on the brakes...but, the rear wheel bearings seemed overly expensive.

Bearing Kit 574.54, 2ea. wheel bearings at 379.28 each, axle retainers 84.34 total, oil seal 41.88, 106 lube and silicone for differential.

What is a bearing kit?

Anyway, while it was in the shop they damaged the driver's door and ended up having to paint both driver's side doors to color match the rest of the paint. $900.00 out of their pocket, but I think I was overcharged on the parts to pay for their damage.

There was only 73,000 miles on my pickup at the time.

Reader's thoughts on the charges?

Rule Number One of Capitalism 101: When a buyer and seller agree. A "Fair Price" was reached.

Talking about it after is like masturbation; feels good but accomplishes nothing.
Jonesy and Bryson James like this.

I use and talk about, but don't sell Amsoil.

2006 Tundra replaced a
98 Dakota 3.9 automatic, long bed.
Retired with broken A/C, July 2008.
623,000 miles.
On original engine and transmission.

Re: Paid too much?

Did you see the bearings they pulled out to make sure they were bad?
