Front Crossmember Strong enough for 2" receiver mount?

Hey guys/girls, I've been looking into front winch options for my 2000 access cab. I may go with a front 2" receiver, but every bolt on option out there bolts on too low for my liking for approach angle and forces me to remove my brush guard which I like for both protection and light mounting. I also don't want to go the expensive and heavy winch capable off-road bumper route. Any thoughts on if something like this mount bolted/welded to the front crossmember perhaps also with some reinforcement could handle winching? Bolt On Receiver Tube 2" | 1804055 | Nuera Trailer Parts I'd cut the bumper as needed. I have not had the bumper off yet to see how sturdy the crossmember is yet, just curious. Thanks

Re: Front Crossmember Strong enough for 2" receiver mount?

I have a curt front mount bolt on hitch on my 01 tundra for a winch I have in a cradle. I leave the winch in the dry box and take it out as I need it. Thankfully haven't needed it yet. I have a 5"lift on 33's and haven't had an issue of it Hanging up or anything to the point of stopping me going through deactivation ditches.

My solution. You might be able to get a fab shop to do it for you. Will be much more than a Curtis front receiver, but will sit higher.
