  4. old oil?

    Tundra
^^^^ I just meant that no way in 1988 they had QR codes. What's wrong with the lawn mower? Not antagonizing, I'm curious, I had an extra bottle of mobile 1 5w-20 full synth and put it in my toro. Don't want to mess up my motor.
  5. old oil?

    Tundra
Nobody noticed the QR code on it? Come on 1988 I was playing with a Nintendo. Interesting fact on QR codes, Toyota did come up with the concept in early/mid 90s but that was part and vehicle tracking in their mfg plant. But I can't see them slapping that on retail bottles back then. I'm sure...
  6. The new look

    Tundra
Did you sell your camera to buy all the stuff. Take a better pic of the after. (:
  7. Truck still shaking during braking

    1Gen-Tundra
DJ Maybe I'm slow, or I'm posting while driving but where in the link does it talk about a significant vibration when braking? I don't believe autozon will be able to measure the lateral runout with a dial indicator off car. Haven't seen a pseudo hub for them to mount the rotor on to spin. You...
  8. Truck still shaking during braking

    1Gen-Tundra
Well if the front is jumping around then I'd imagine it's the front rotors not the drums, maybe I missed it but who did the front brakes? I see firestone did drums and peerless did the alignment. I can't imagine a poor alignment causing this. I don't see where you've replaced the control arms...
  9. Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8 Vs 8300lbs 5th Wheel

    Tundra
I would rec Firestone airbags to help with the heavy load. Your P metric tires will not work well, too much flex. Firestone transforce HT 10 ply would be a good fit. Don't go cheap thinking E load is E load. Tires are much more than black round and hold air.
  10. Truck still shaking during braking

    1Gen-Tundra
I have come across plenty of warped drums out of the box. Go OE

  13. 2004 Tundra ? Cooling at idle

Proper working AC should drop the center vent 40 degrees below outside temp.
  14. Buying "American" Could Mean Buying Foreign

    Tundra
My Ram was built in Mexico - supports foreign blue collar and USA corp fat cats My Tundra was built here- supports blue collar and Japanese fat cats. That's the way I explain it to the rednecks that don't like buying "foreign" Not sure if this is still true, but the viper was built in...
  15. Time for Battery Replacement maybe ?? any suggestions..

    Tundra
Have you filled up the battery with water? That will help it out greatly
  16. Water Pump

    1Gen-Tundra
The repair facility should write it up as a water pump replacement. That will include TB labor. If they write it up as TB and charge you more than an additional .5/hr to do water pump they are screwing you or inept (at the counter). Add an extra $25 for coolant, I wouldn't worry about a flush.
  17. 4.7 Timing belt

    1Gen-Tundra
When the SM of an item like a timing belt says 90k, it won't break at 91k, they leave a lot of room for error, other times it's for voiding warranty purposes, some kias are very 40k. I changed my TB on my LS430 as it's an interference motor, belt snaps time to buy a new car. The belt at 94K...
  18. Timing Belt Brand Question

    1Gen-Tundra
Have any of y'all done a TB before, it's not for the faint of heart. The timing belt on my LS430 was a pita. Oreillys generally has good quality TB kits.
  19. Replacing Tie Rods 2000 Tundra

    1Gen-Tundra
You're already on the right track with moog. Tacoma Tie Rod (Inner & Outer) Replace - YouTube This is for a taco. Tie rods are typically simple and similar in how to install them. Def do both inner and outers. Count the twists when you take em off, you'll never tighten down the jam nut in the...
  20. 2014 Tundra Weathertech Floor Liners

    Tundra
Notice the side of it is flat no ridge and that the mat itself allows for easy sweeping without taking it out. As for the husky liners it appears they want you to have a swimming pool at your feet, where is the melted ice to go? (Major concern for me since I live in one of the hottest states...
