02 Sequoia airbag warning light

Replaced the driver side seat belt but not the buckle. The 2pin plug on the belt housing is circular but the harness is rectangular (square peg round hole). Anyway I left it disconnected and now the airbag warning light blinks.
Ohm reading at the old belt housing reads “0”, so I put in a jumper on the wiring harness plug - no change.
Is this a trip to the dealership?
I don’t believe in coincidence and think it’s related.
Did the jumper method of the OB2 connector and got a code of 73.
Need help, Thanks

You bought the wrong part because it doesn't plug in. The dealer will say you bought the wrong part because it doesn't plug in. Because it's not plugged in, you have a light and a code.

You'll need the correct part. These are safety items and unless you know for sure that the belt module is the correct one, then you can't just swap over the rectangular plug from the original.
