Morning! Anyone have any idea how to determine whether a generic brush guard will fit a 1st Gen Tundra? I'm assuming there is a specific hole pattern that would prevent any welding etc.

Most brush guards I've seen mount using four or more threaded holes under the front frame horns. They're the ones normally used to secure the recovery hook and loop to the frame. Whatever you buy needs to match those holes at minimum, otherwise you'll need custom brackets.

Personally, I wouldn't use those holes for anything other than the recovery hardware. If you can find a brush guard which doesn't use that mounting style, IMHO it's a better option than the majority of products out there, even if it requires a little custom work.
