So a friend of mine has an 03 tundra limited with 127k on the dash. The last 2 days it has randomly died while driving and left him stranded. He says it just dies. No rough idle or anything before hand. One of the times he said he didn't even notice it was off until he tried to break (he was coasting downhill). When this happens it won't even try to crank over again. I brought my code reader and the ABS code is the only one showing. It won't start with a jump doesnt even click. If I remove the battery for 20 minutes it will start, run for 5 minutes then stop. Battery is reading fine. I checked all the fuses and I'm just stumped.

No ABS dashboard light, but shows a code? Burned out light? Check bulb, etc.. Battery disconnect resets 'something', presumably an ABS problem, so seems like going through this system is required or is this like my o2 sensor code, but only the MAF needed cleaning?

This is why mechanics don't diagnose things unless it's in front of them, but I'll throw this at it.
Does it have an aftermarket alarm? If not, is the factory system in working order? Something might be triggering the starter cut out in the stock system. It's designed to go off if it senses any hotwiring or cranking over without the key in the ignition. Also any time the alarm goes off it kills the starter until reset.
