Hey yall, so I hope someone here can help me with this. I drive an 03 v8 tundra and for the past few days now everytime I hit a small bump in the road or pothole every gage on dash zeros out, abs light comes on and the truck turns off, I just bought this and have no idea why or what is causing this.

If someone knows what to do or how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it

Hey folks, anyone know if there is a collision impact sensor on these trucks? Those things, if installed will shut everything down if they get jolted. I will do some digging later. and see what I can find Chap

If its absolutely everything in the vehicle goes dead start looking at wiring for things like the battery or the main ecu. Unplug and check for tight connections, damage, corrosion etc. Check under the hood for signs of mice too. The little bastards can wreak havoc on vehicles.

I would first check all the ground connections on the truck. I had a friend who was experiencing similar issues on an old Ford PU. We were out in his truck in the boonies when it died on us and he had a fit. I opened the hood and started a hand over hand inspection of the battery wiring and all the cab, engine, grounding connections everywhere. I found the main battery ground on the chassis loose with corrosion built up under the washer. Dropped the ground, scraped the chassis and the connector surface that made up the contact to bright metal with a pocket knife. Reinstalled the cap screw and tightened it up with a Leatherman. End of problem. Told my friend to break down every ground and high current connector on his truck, wire brush or file every contact surface as necessary, and torque them back down. He followed my advice the following week, one connector at a time until all were renewed---end of electrical issues and aberrant truck behavior.
