Hi I have been having problems with my Sequoia’s A/C. When I press my A/C button the fuse blows, but however when I turn on the air with out pressing the A/C button the fuse doesn’t blow. The air isn’t cold because the A/C isn’t on but the fan blows air though. Does anyone know why the A/C fuse keeps blowing when I press the A/C button?

Have you checked the ground on compressor? It bolts screws or is attached some how and work loose. That little ground has been known to cause headaches. Let us know.

Sounds like the compressor clutch is locked up
Agree with Scuddog. To check the compressor- with the engine OFF put your hand on the center of the A/C compressor and try to rotate the clutch. The pulley won’t turn by hand with the tension from the belt but the clutch should. If it’s seized that could cause a short, but there can also be a short if it’s not seized. You can remove the plug from the compressor and see if fuse still blows.
