I have a thumping noise in the rear of my truck. Replaced rear breaks, drums, front brakes, rotors, c-v axles, carrier bearing, then complete driveshaft. Replaced ALL oil it was all clean. Put truck on jackstands and still makes noise. The noise gets loud about 45 mph and quiets down above 75 mph. I don't want to waste more $ until i have some more ideas. It does have the upgraded 4.10 limited slip rear end. Thanks.

I know this an older thread! You might want to check and see if the Toyota uses limited slip additive in the rear end? Some manufacturers use this additive! Who produced the upgraded rear in your truck? Is it Toyota? Or aftermarket?Once the additive is old or low, the rear will begin to make noise. Installing new rear end fluid and new additive, usually this noise goes away. This is a cheap way to check things out.

Completely drain the rear end fluid. Install new fluid and additive.

Has the transmission or engine been removed in the past? You might want to check the bolts on the flex plate if adding limited slip additive doesn't do the trick? I've seen the flex plate bolts come loose on different manufacturers before. But never on Toyotas! Just another idea for you.

Good Luck
