Please forgive me, as i have tried to search but i only get a blank page and no results.

we have a 05 tundra double cab and we can't get the power rear window to operate. all i am getting is a little click from the relay located to the lower left, passenger side, of the inside of the cab. my wife had not tried to operate the window for a few months. it does not appear to be stuck to the molding at all. one i did 2 weeks ago was replace the battery. i had saw elsewhere that this may cause a need for some reset? i see some sequoia owners have had some problem. i have tried to pull the window down while the button on the console is pressed, no luck. it seems to have power, as the relay clicks when the button is pressed.

thanks

haven't had any problems with the rear windows in the DC tundra's. most of the problems were in the sequoia's. if you can hear it click, it may need a rear window motor. i would check for power to the motor and if there is power and if there is power, then you have a bad motor. other thing is if it's been a long time since you had operated the window, it may get stuck in the moulding. but you said that wasn't the case.

It's probably a similar problem as the Sequoia rear window. My Sequoia rear window wasn't working, so I followed the instructions in the thread and smacked the motor with a couple good blows while my wife hit the button....and it went right up and down. Try that and see if it works. Search the 1st gen Sequoia for the thread...

Thanks for the replies. I tried nearly all the stuff the Sequoia folks did. I did not remove any bolts and such from motor assembly. Just could not get it to go down yesterday. today, my wife goes out and the window works great. It is the morning and much cooler. I must have loosened up something as it did not work the other morning.

thanks again.

Hi I registered an account here just to thank you for the suggestion. It worked perfectly. My rear window stopped working about a year ago and I finally decided today to pull the panel off and try to figure out why it wasn't working. Once I realized the relay was still clicking I did a google search for the specific issue and came across this post. Read your suggestion, had my wife push the button while I smacked the motor with a mallet. I started with the front side of the motor and that wasn't doing anything so I hit the top off it and all of a sudden it started rolling down! Thanks again for the tip :)
