I bought an 06 Tacoma TRD crewcab last year, and currently have 52k miles on the factory tires that are down to the wear bars. I dont have much knowledge on tire selection and am looking for advice. Should i stick with the BF Rugged Trail tires or is there a better alternative available. Im on job sites a few times a week, outside of that, no major offroading.

BFGoodrich All-Terrain comes to mind, but it really depends on your needs/price limits. Others on this forum seem quite happy with Cooper tires. I found tirerack.com to be handy, as far as checking out reviews of the tires.

Michelin LTX M/S. Long life, good tread pattern. I've had five sets of them on my Dodge Rams and my Tacomas.
I second that - I replaced my OEM tires on my '05 TRD Sport Access Cab with Michelin LTX tires last year and I am really happy with them. They ride a lot better, are way quieter and they seem to be wearing very well. Not cheap, but they seem well worth the cost.
