Hi, I'm having a problem locating a noise in my front end (passenger side). When I hit bumps it makes a clunking noise and it's driving me nuts. It doesn't make any noise on a smooth road. I brought it to a mechanic (family friend) and he looked it over for an hour and couldn't find anything loose. I've had the wheel off a few times and I couldn't see anything either. I did put front pads on a while back but the noise didn't start until at least a month later, so I don't think it's the caliper clunking around. I just don't want to bring it to a dealer and get raked over the coals and pay a ton of money. or worse, pay for them to look at it and still not find the problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
