Hello all, I have gathered a good bit of information from these posts and decided I would post some info I had a lot of time invested in researching. Here is my Question and my Answer:
Goal: I want to display the DVD movie playing from the RSE in the front so my wife can control the DVD controls from the front seat with out doing acrobatics to get to the back seat while driving. We have two children and they are too young to control these functions on their own to start the DVD once it is put in. In addition to this, I am installing FloTV and/or SiriusTV and I want my passenger to be able to watch/control this from the front, for the same reasons as the DVD viewing. I also want to be able to view the rear-camera while towing.
Issues: While Wilee Coyote's posts are invaluable and I have created my own SPG to bypass NAV lockout following his schematics, his front seat video would not work for me since his hack worked off of hijacking the Rear Camera inputs. I do understand he did not have an RSE so this was not important to him. Gaining access to the RSE while moving is not an easy task and I contimplated many ways to accomplish this. In addition to this, the AUX inputs on the back RSE will successfully display Video, however the sound will only come out the headphones (which my children are too young to use), so I need a solution to feed the AUX Audio through the system speakers.
Solutions: I decided to purchase the Toyota bypass unit from Prestigous Society, I am awaiting its delivery. This according to many reviews and posts will allow me to display the RSE on the front display and access DVD controls. This accomplishes the first goal. To accomplish the second goal, I am going to splice into the RSE Right & Left Stereo Feeds at the JBL Head Unit - this is connector I25 (12 pin connector) on the back of the JBL Unit:
Pin 1 - Shield Ground
Pin 2 - R+ (Black Wire)
Pin 3 - R- (Green)
Pin 4 - L+ (Red)
Pin 5 - L- (White)
These pins are the audio feeds from the RSE Unit, the reason this is important is that the Video will display from the AUX port, but the Audio will not, what I will do is splice RCA connectors into (R+/R-) and (L+/L-) and plug my FloTV output into these. For the Video, I can use the standard AUX ports on the back of the front console, for a cleaner install, I decided to place all of this under the center console. So I decided to splice into the Video Feed from the AUX port which feeds the RSE. Keep in mind, I cannot use this connector for Audio since it will just feed the headphones. To get to the Video Feed without running a cable outside of the box, you need to get to connector SH1 (16 pin connector) inside the center console, you shouldnt have to remove the console, the connectors are accessible just from removing the center connecting console (where the shifter is). Here are the pins:
Pin 14 - VV- (Yellow)
Pin 15 - VV+ (Brown)
Pin 16 - Signal Ground (Shield)
I will most likely not use either of the Signal Grounds, since I think I will use regular RCA Cable. This may change depending on interference and end results.
So in the end, I will have Right & Left RCA Audio hijacking the RSE DVD Audio Feeds and the Video RCA hijacking the normal AUX RCA Input. I will most likely be putting a SPST switch on the ACC side of the FloTV so I can kill the unit so RCA audio/video is not sent when I want to watch DVD - I think the RSE will only show AUX when something is plugged in and powered on, so if the FloTV is always plugged in and always powered on, I would not be able to get to DVD again.
As for rear view camera, this is a simple switch (see Wilee's posts) to control the Reverse feed to the Head Unit.

Just sharing the info I have found so far, I hope to impliment this weekend and will post any additional information.
