I have a 2008 Sequoia 5.7, 4x4, SR5 I bought a year ago. It came from the rust belt and didn't come with a skid plate (I assume it was taken off by an oil change shop and not put back on). Overall I would say the rust isn't too bad except for the part of the frame where the front tow hooks mount (I think the lack of a skid plate made the rust worse), I have included a photo that shows where a part of the frame is rusted out. My longshot question is if anyone has any experience doing frame welding on these? Also, if anyone has a spare skidplate from a 2nd gen Sequoia or Tundra, I would be happy to buy it from you at a reasonable price. Thank you.

That's ugly. I hope you can get it welded up... but how does the rest of the frame look? If there is more rot like that it might not be worth keeping. Lot's of first gen Sequoia's are junked because the frame has rotted away.

You can probably find a skid plat in a salvage yard for just a few bucks. It's not an item that is in much demand.
