Has anyone on hear every replaced the felt axle seals on the birfield joints? If so how hard is it? Does it require complete disassembly or just the outer knuckles being taken apart?

I would reccomend purchasing a Knuckle overhaul kit. Its not a hard job, but is messy and a bit time consuming, so I'd get the kit so you only have to do it once.

BTW, rebuilding front axles is not that hard of a job.

If your gonna dive in, and it was me, I would upgrade them to 60 series parts. A much stronger upgrade for offroading unless you drive it on the street. Easier to find replacement parts.
