1st gen 4.7l to 4.6l engine and transmission swap?

I'd like a bit more power and better fuel economy out of my 2005. I had originally been thinking of doing a 5.7l swap, but would really like the added fuel economy of the 4.6l paired with the 6spd transmission.
Does anyone have any experience doing this swap? Easier, the same, or more difficult than a 5.7l swap?

Yeah, I realize that it will be labour intensive. I love the first gen quad cab though. I'd rather put some time and money into making this truck ideal rather than buy something newer. It's the perfect size, and I love having a 6.5' box with a roll down window. I'm a contractor and get a ton of use out of the roll down rear window. The 2nd gen quad cab tundras only have a 5.5' box. Not nearly as useful for me.
I put about 3000kms a month on my truck, much of that is hauling, so the fuel savings and power increase would be worth it.

I didn't realize the 5.7 and 4.6 used the same block. Thanks for that information!
