245/70/16 were the base model sized tires. The larger 265/70/16 tires did sap a decent amount of power. I currently have 265/75/16 tires in my 2004 AC 4wd. I swapped out the stock 3.9 gears for a pair of 4.10 (that i found at the wrecking yard for dirty dirt cheap). That small jump in my gear ratio made a very noticeable difference in getting some of my power back. If you wanted to tow shtuff and hoon around, then i’d probably mount a set of the 245/70/16 tires with 4.10 gears. Now if you want to bald a tire whenever you mash the skinny pedal, then drop down to a lower 4.30. I have zero experience with Kazuma LSD. I’ve owned two different 1st gen tundras that has the factory LSD. I could never really tell if they worked or not. To me they weren’t worth rebuilding (cost wise), so i sold them. I do have a Truetrac in the front of both my 77 ford f250 lowboy Jeep CJ7. I do like my truetracs. I’m not really of fan of clutch packs since they eventually wear out.

I'm still not sure what I want to do gear wise or LSD. But I'm leaning toward 4.10, due to cost and availability, possibly I could get lucky and find em with a working LSD, or maybe I'll save up for a true trac.
I traded my stock 265/65r17 limited set for some GX460 265/60r18. Because I lowered the front 2 inches, the tires rub frame on full lock. I might buy spacers, or I might just buy some 255/60r18's when these tires wear out. If I do that, then I think the 4.10's should be a great fit. Me and Casey installed my old 06 4x4 leaf springs (with AALs and 5100's) under the axle of my 03 2wd last weekend and it lifted the rear. So I effectively lowered it 2" in front, 3.5" in rear, only to raise it 2" in the rear. I wasn't trying to raise it. Since the SOS lowering kit made it spring under axle, I assumed the spring swap wouldn't affect the ride height. But I really like how it rides now.

I think the 255/60/80 tires and 4.10 gears would be a good compromise for cruising down the highway, but if you were towing full time i’d definitely swap in 4.30. LSD is all on you. Clutch packs eventually wear out, so that’s why i liked the truetrac. I was contemplating on installing one in the back of my 2004 4wd AC, but i actually work (abuse?) my truck offroad for getting firewood, a limited slip probably wouldn’t provide enough traction for what i do. So i simply left my diff open until i save some $$$$ up for a selectable locker (ARB or E locker).
