I have a 2000 toyota tundra 4x4 access cab with the 4.7L v8. I recently had the starter replaced about a week ago when the engine wouldnt start and just amde a click; however yesterday i cleaned it all up and went to go start it and take it to a shop to get my rear stopping light fixed but it wouldnt start and made the same clicking noise. Could this be a faulty starter or maybe a wiring problem? i put a brand new battery less than 8 months ago so the battery is good, any advice would be great!

I'm having a similar problem with my 2000 Tundra 4.7L. I'm at 300,000 miles and on the second starter. I tried just about everything, so at this point, I think it's the starter solenoid, which means that I'll have to replace my starter again. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I hope that the problem is resolved with a new (i.e., rebuilt) starter.
