New to the forum and thanks for allowing me to join. Trying to find out if a 2004 Automatic transmission 2WD will work in my 2000 2WD? I read something about only need to change the tail shaft and it takes different fluid than my 2000. If so is the tail shaft hard to change? Any advice on this would be much appreciated. Thank you

The 2000 thru 2004 use the same A340E transmission and direct swaps of each other.
