Upper control arm is rubbing on my new Firestone Destination M/T tires 285/70/r17 on 17x9 with -12 backspacing on moto metal wheels, plus when i'm on the highway 50 mph+, the tires wander, it almost feels like the truck is gonna tip over off the wheels when i change lanes....Should i lower the adjustable shock (its on the top notch) or go with smaller tires...

1. You stuffed too large a tire under there on a wheel with improper backspacing. MT (mud terrain) tires generally have very pronounced shoulder lugs. Go smaller, or cheat and run Spidertrax spacers.

2. The wandering can be attributed to the tires, the alignment (not enough caster), or a loose steering rack.

You need an alignment. My upper control arm rubbed too when I lifted my truck w 285 terragrapplers. I'd also install an differential drop. Very easy install just use a cheater bar
