I was towing a trailer with my 2000 Tundra SR5, when I got pulled over by an Oregon State Trooper for no tail lights on the trailer. Every time I turn on the running lights, the 15A fuse blows instantly - even with the trailer disconnected, so it's in the truck. I assume there is a short, but a close exam is not showing me anything obvious in the hitch wiring. Next, I will pull the light assemblies at all four corners and look for a short.
Anyone have any tricks for finding a short?
