My car is also a 2002 xle camry 4 cyl. I have a problem when turning a corner, left or right, the steering is stiff ( harder to turn) in a couple spots, and I have to assist the steering wheel back to go straight again. It is notibly worse in the colder weather or when first starting out. Is this the same as your problem and haveyou found any answers. [email protected]

There was a TSB for later Camrys.
Maybe there was an earlier one for yours.

they have been having a problem with the steering shaft there is a TSB for that the part # for the new steering shaft is 45202-33060
