when i first start my engine, there is a winding noise when it starts up...it keeps going while i drive...not only does it keep going...it also couples with the acceleration sounds along with when i turn the wheel...it goes away after 10 minutes of driving...could this be low power steering fluid level?

Check all your belts basically pushing down on the center of the belt with the ENGINE OFF!! There should be only a small amount of flex. The V-6 has very easy to adjust tensioners. If the PS belt is loose, before it is warmed up turn the steering all the way to one direction putting the max pressure on the PS and if it increases it is probably the belt but a belt squeal is very different than a whine that could be air in the PS system. Did you check the level of your PS? I would check the level first before anything.
