I see that one of the steps in the Toyota manual is the removal of the brake line from the caliper... but in my past experience this hasn't been necessary. It's usually just a matter of unbolting the caliper and suspending it from a piece of coathanger wire.

Any opinions?

Got'r done today - couldn't have asked for better weather. Went pretty smooth. Except...

I did have to undo a small bracket from the "upper control arm" so the flexible line could "flex."
Broke the head of the bolt off the one on the passenger side. @#$!



It's zip-tied in place until I can get it into the shop.

Got the bolt extracted and replaced at the dealer today. :)

Hey JDandBeastlet, can you tell me what the caliper casting number is on you caliper? You can see it if you look under the front of the Sequoia peering under the front bumper looking toward the inside of the wheel where the caliper is. I'm guessing the 05' Sequoia is running the 13WL casting, but I haven't been able to get anyone to verify this. Let me know if you can take a look...I would greatly appreciate it!
Next chance I get I'll take a look.

big-o... took a look a few minutes ago. There's certainly a 13W there but the character after could be an "I" or an "L"; hard to tell for sure.

Edit: Crawled under there with a light and a camera to get a better look. Definitely 13WL.
