I replaced my shocks the other day and found that I had OEM KYB rear shocks. I've seen Tokico and a brand called Arvin mentioned in older posts but never factory rear KYB's. They were stamped with the number 48531-af100 and said KYB USA and "contains nitrogen".

Anybody ever see KYB's as OEM rear shocks on these trucks?

hi, no ,but if you could take a picture. to show where it is labled.
i can look at my 05, double cab to see if i to have them.
i didn't even know i had LSD white lable on my rear end. dahhhhhh.
so how can i get my rear wheel to spin? it's suppose to shut it down, right?
on these tundra's, i'm sure there are alot of parts made from different companys. not toyota.
like we have denso alternator's, & senors.
why do you need new shocks?
it's to new for that, unless you tow, carry heavy loads, or just because, or they are leaking.

One of the rears was leaking. I pull a 24 foot trailer for the local highschool marching band and I assume that killed it. At nearly 120,000 miles they should have been a little tired anyway...........
I'll get a picture if the camera is not at the office.

hi, i went out & looked today. it was easy to read the right rear shock.
son of a bi$ch, i got them 2.
wow, like i said toyota use's alot of other company products.
i was told by 1 mechanic that i have brembo made front calipers.
i was happy, but shocked.
i guess after the 2000ish bad front brakes, rotors caliper's, toyota decided to go with a great company.
i'm happy to know that.
