I have an '05 tundra with the 4.7 engine. Before replacing the timing belt, idlers, tensioner, water pump, thermostat I pressure washed the engine compartment and I think that is the cause of my problem. After it was all back together it started right up, it sounds great, very quiet compared to before changing out the belt. It ran for only a few minutes then quit. Like someone had turned the key off. Would not restart. The starter does not run. Every thing else works fine. Battery is good. Wait some time and it is back to normal, starts right up, runs and sounds fine, runs a few minutes then quits again.
Time that it runs varies from 1 to 10 minutes or so. Time that it won't start varies also from 5 to 30 minutes or so.
Code reader shows no codes. Have checked the EFI and Circuit Open(C/OPN) relays, both are operating normal. Have determined to the best of my abilities that the ECU is either losing 12v or ground. I base that on the fact that my Scan Guage reports no sensor data when in the no start condition. Have cleaned as many ground connections in the engine compartment as I can find.
Am looking for any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue further. I'm going on the assumption that this is the result of the pressure washing I did initially.
