I have 2005 Toyota Tundra Limited Edition Double Cab 2 Wheel Drive and I have been told I need new front brakes. I have a strong vibration I feel in the sterring wheel and during a hard break throughout the truck.

Here are my questions.

1. How do I really kno if I need new brakes?
2. What are all the parts that need to be replaced?
3. How do I know if I need to replace the rotors?
4. What are the best break parts to buy and from where should I buy for my year Tundra.
5 Do I replace the back breaks at the same time?
6. I want to do this my self and I need instructions, preferablly with pictures along with the text.
7. Thank you sahead of time.

Shudder/vibration during braking is warped rotors. Buy quality aftermarket rotors. If you buy slotted you need brake pads that have more grip to make up for the lost surface area. Replace the pads with the rotors. I use ebc yellowstuff 4000 kevlar pads along with ebc usr slotted rotors. They grip like you wouldn't believe. Pull the drums off the rear and inspect them plus clean them up with brake cleaner. If the liners are gone replace the shoes.
