I want to level my DC. I've looked into 5100's and Rancho quicklifts the most. I have a few sets of wheels to choose from. Stock wheels are the 16"x7" 5 spokes currently on the truck. Also have a takeoff set of 17x7 sr5 14 4runner and 18x7.5 4runner sport wheels(work at a dealer). I rarely take the truck off road(maybe twice a year). It has 170,000 miles so the factory bilsteins have to be about shot and the truck really isn't worth enough to spend $5,000 on new wheels, tires, and suspension lift. Looking for opinions on the best route. A few techs have told me to just run spacers as there isn't a difference between them or different backspacing. I don't mind doing a bit of trimming to fit 33's, but not sure I want to go to Rickashay's lengths. For 33's i'm stuck between 255/85/16 for the stock wheels, 255/80/17 for sr5's or 275,285/70/18 for sport wheels. I'd really like to keep the lift at shocks and a diff. drop on the front and maybe AAL for the rear. Let the ideas out please! Thanks!

I'd go bilstein over Ranchos. The Ranchos are quick and easy but, I don't think they are the same quality as bilstein.
As far as wheels/tires go, with all those wheels to choose from it would be hard to buy aftermarket ones. Spacers are easy and don't cost all that much. If they're worth it for twice a year off-roading.

Couple more days of research and found out the 18" wheels are actually GX460 wheels. Also been reading a bunch on using OME springs with the 5100's. 886 or 885's seems to be the favorites. Any other springs recommended over OME's? I was planning on doing the diff drop and hose clamps over CV's, any better options? Anyone know of wheels with 3.5" backspacing that are available? The SCS wheels seem to be out of stock. Thanks!

I think you should get in touch with Vin (SCS) and see what he has available. I don't think the website gets updated as often as hes getting stuff in. Are you set on 33's? My 05 is leveled with Fox 2.5's and ive got 265/75/16 Cooper ST Maxx which is a 32" and I think it looks perfect. An aggressive tire makes up for a little smaller size. Ive gone down the road with bigger tires and rubbing when turning and its just not worth it for me anymore.

Well I was really set on 35's after seeing Rickashay's build, so 33's is settling. My 99 Ranger had 265/75/16's, so with a much bigger truck I'd really like to go bigger. I don't mind trimming a bit either. Just really didn't want to get into uniball UCA's just yet. I did send SCS a message asking when they would be available. What size tires did you have and where did they rub? Have read DC's wheel well is larger, only see trimming done to access cabs usually.

I like the SCS wheels, but have also looked into a few others. Anyone running Mickey Thompson wheels? The don't pull up as fitting for the Tundra. I emailed them and they said they weren't sure if they'd rub the caliper or not. With all the chrome trim on a SR5, the polished wheel just would look better and they offer 3.625" backspacing. Any other wheels 16x8" with 3.5"-4" backspacing??? Thanks for any help.
