Anybody with a new tundra with the cold-weather package? I'm having problems finding anybody, slaes and service included, who can tell me where the controls for the wiper de-icer are. Anybody out there know?
Other than that the 2007 is a fantastic truck!!

This feature is activated when you hit the button to de-ice your mirrors.

I am trying to understand what the feature does. I have looked for a heating element and have not seen one.

Do you know why this is a good thing to have?
The wipers are heated when they are in the off position. There is a small heating grid about an inch wide along the bottom of the windshield.

Do you know how long they stay on?

Thanks for the reply.
The element is at the bottom of your windsheild surrounding the wiper blade in the area that the blades rest when not in use. It is visible. I'm under the understanding it works with the side mirror defrosts which are timed for 15 minutes. Can't find any documentation though.

If you get snow you'll appreciate it. I've been standing my wipers off the windshield in an attempt to keep them from freezing there. There're a bear to get unstuck and the wiper motor won't do it.
Just don't put any tint on your windshield. I had an aftermarket de-icer on my last vehicle and it bubled my tint.
hey bgil sent you a private email.
What was it?
Good to know, thanks Cooper. There is not one word about it in the manual, and I had the whole staff at my dealership puzzling over it.
