Depends. The 2007 has a higher max tow rating but a lower cargo capacity. What I pull right now with a 2005 4x2 DC SR5 would be well within the tow rating for the 2007 DC 4x2 SR5 with the 4.7L but I would exceed the GVWR of the 2007.

What I was trying to ask (and didn't ) is if a 2007 Tundra with a 4.7 would be able to pull any given object (let's say a 26' travel trailer that weighs 4700lbs) and with 500 pounds total in the truck better than a 2006 Tundra with a 4.7?

As long as you don't exceed GVWR of the 07 in theory it should. There were many improvements to the 07.

Dunno. Based on hp, torque and drivetrain data, nope. Based on bigger brakes and beefier frame, maybe. Sure would love to borrow one for a test pull and find out.

The 5.7L with the 6 spd tranny and 4.30 rear would be the cat's meow for sure. But I digress.
