Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve Stuck Closed

Have done some looking and it seems I can't use a bypass kit for that year. Some warranty coverage it seems but on older models? Nothing clear on this yr.

Can someone help pls?

What are our options?

We do offer our bypass kits for the 4.6L up to 2014. It is the only one under our V54H listing for the 08-12 vehicles that goes beyond 2012 and is in the drop down menu for that product.

We used to offer them for the 5.7L up to 2013 but there was a limited service campaign for those that were getting a valve stuck closed code in freezing weather. On certain 12-13 Tundra and Sequoia 5.7L vehicles the computer can be updated to prevent this which causes the system to run on shutdown. We stopped offering them openly for those vehicles to prevent the chance someone had that update done and then buying a kit that wouldn't work for them. If you have a 13' 5.7L the kit can still work for you but you would need to verify the system does not run at shutdown. Please see our full product listing for the V54H kit for details on how to identify if the update has been done on your vehicle (assuming whoever did the update put the modification sticker on like they are supposed to), it would also be up to you to make sure you verify the system never runs at shutdown.



We hope to release our next Generation units this year to cover all the vehicles regardless of updates or running the system at shutdown including the flex fuel vehicles.
