Thanks to JBtoy, the following is a faxed copy of the '4.7L V8 Supercharger ECU Manual' he received from TRD, scanned and emailed to me. It is not a great copy but much better than what we had. If anyone has a good color copy they can post, please do so! Mark
Thanks for posting Mark. The history and install of the Gen 1 SC on 00-02 is at least documented. Be nice to see if anyone out there has a pdf and color version. For now, this is all I had to share to get it started.
Would anyone know if the harness connector on the opposite end of the "31-way" connector of the 'TRD ECU Harness' plugs into P1 or the P2 side of the 'TRD Harness Junction Box'? The ends are shown in Figure 17 but the details of the image shown above escape me.
Occasionally TRD supercharger systems are listed on eBay. New Old Stock kits usually sell for around $5,500. The 'kit' is fairly comprehensive and not just a bolt on supercharger. Used superchargers often are missing key components that may be expensive. You may be able to find a wrecked vehicle with a supercharger package that you could have rebuilt and swapped to your vehicle.
I had the supercharger from my '02 Tundra swapped over to my '02 Sequoia at the local dealership. If towing power or performance is your main consideration, the '07 and newer Tundra and Sequoia in stock configuration, is much a much stronger package.
The main difference between the Tundra and Sequoia supercharger kit may be the supercharger belt length. I have a Sequoia Supercharger belt listed on eBay now along with several other Tundra and Sequoia parts:
