4WD HI vs 4WD LO

I have Toyota Tundra 2006 with 4X4 and dual range 4WD. When I shift to 4WD HI the green light comes on and proceeds in 4WD Hi range. When I try to shift to 4WD Lo, I press the low button when in 4WD Hi and the light flashes orange on the inst panel, then goes out. I get no indication that it is now in 4WD Lo range. I have tried using the shift lo lock button and nothing seems to happen. I do not have the manual, and the instructions on visor seem unclear. please someone help. Am i doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Bill:confused:

You need to be in 4WD HI with the truck stopped and in N (neutral), then press the 4WD Lo button. Even with the manual, it took me a while to figure it out.
Does the 4WD Lo lite stay lit when it is in Lo along with the 4WD Green Hi lite? In other words, Does the 4WD green lit go out and the Lo amber lite stay lit? This isa ll very confusing to my simple mind.

Thanks,

When in 4WD Hi the indicator on the dash and button will stay green (solid once engaged). When you switch to 4WD Lo the indicator on the dash and button will stay amber (solid once engaged) and the green will no longer be lit.
Does the Shift-L switch on dash have anything to do with this? I am having trouble getting to the crux of my problem.

Thanks,Bill
