Background information: I purchased my 2007 supercharged tundra aprox 3 months ago. It has 115k miles and the supercharger was installed around 55k. when i first got it i noticed a sound coming from the supercharger when at a red light. I didnt think much of it but its gotten worse and worse. i went to a local toyota dealership and had them check it out. an employee there said he knew a good bit about the trd supercharger and that he believed a bearing had went bad. I found PSE superchargers on the internet and decided to have it sent to them. I took it to Atlanta dyno and chassis where Brad took it off and shipped it.

Has anyone used PSE? the total "rebuild" cost was 1,017$, does this sound right? he said they are only replacing the bearings(no rotor pack)

regardless, i will post an update as soon as i get my truck back!

Im also getting a valve body mod done by chris :D

PSE is a Total Rip Off.
Send it to the guys who made it for TRD/Toyota......Magnuson Supercharger
I got my 4.7L TRD supercharger cleaned, new M90 rotor pack.
All new bearings, snout rebuilt, new seals. Everything rebuilt.
New sealant, put back together and tested for vacuum/boost ensuring proper function.
New parts I was missing, new Boost Solenoid & New actuator.
Cost was around $890 bucks in 2009.

Yeah, im starting to realize that. When he hit me with the 1,017$ rebuild price i was quite shocked! Sadly i have already shipped my supercharger to them. I am still somewhat confident in their ability to fix the problem although 1K seems a little high for rebuild. reguardless of price i just want it fixed!

I have a 2008 supercharged 5.7. The supercharger took out #8 cylinder last week destroying the engine. $13K for another engine and another $1500 to rebuild the SC. Tundra has 87K on the clock, SC was dealer installed at 36K. Think I'll junk it, find another truck and keep it stock. I just can't justify putting another 15K into this truck.
