I need your help and opinion. I don’t mind doing modifications on my 2007 Tundra 4x4 5.7L DC to achieve the intended results of the tires sticking out minimum 2”-maximum 3”. I just need to know what mod’s I need to watch out for, so I can make an informed decision. These are the final questions I have before purchasing. Post pics so I can see what you have done. 37x12.50x18 BFG’s MT

Wheel Options:
XD Monsters 778, 18x9 5.71 backspacing 18 offset
XD Monsters 778, 18x9 6.38 backspacing 35 offset
XD Hoss 795, 18x9 6.18 backspacing 30 offset

Notes:
I like a bigger side wall, hence the 18” wheel/tire combo.
I want the tires to stick out the sides 2-3”

Questions:
Which combo will achieve the tires sticking out 2-3”?
Both tires accept 8-10 inch wheels. Will the side walls look like a balloon?

Question: How far will tires stick out on the sides, rub? I am ok with mod’s to fit tires. What mod’s are they?
How will the tires look with the 12.50 on a 10” wide rim? Balloon look?
Should I just stay with the 13.50 on a 10” wide rim?

i all so have the same question, how much backspacing would i need to make the tires stick out 2 inches? my setup would be kmc monster 20x10 with toyo OC M/T 37's either 12.5 or 13.5 what do you think would be the right move??

I'd gladly help you out if I knew anything regarding these trucks! I'm new as well, and am looking into purchasing a Tundra. I'm wanting to go with XD Hoss 22x9.5's with Toyo Open Country M/T 37x13.5x22's. I'm just trying to figure what people are doing to get 37's to fit, as well as how they are getting the XD Series Hoss wheels to fit in the 22 inch size since they are 9.5 inches, and a 9 inch isn't offered in the 22 inch version of the wheel. Of course, I'm also stuck on which 6"-7" lift kit to go with as well. I've been reading back and forth for a while now on two different forums trying to find out, and am completely stuck!

I have 37"x13.5" tires with 18" rock stars. They rub when I turn. I think the rims have 5" of backspacing and the lift says to get 6 1/4 backspacing. What exactly is offset and backspacing?
